BASIC INSTRUCTOR’S SKILLS
The need for on-the-job training and transfer of engineering and technical knowledge is beyond all doubt. How can this be accomplished without having on-staff instructors? By offering state-of-the-art training methods and teaching technologies to managers and professionals responsible for personnel qualifications.
This course is aimed not only to teach how to conduct classroom activities, but will also enable instructors to acquire techniques of individualization in education, to set education goals, to shape appropriate strategy and manage teaching aids. They will learn how to manage trainees groups, to promote their cognitive interest and improve communication skills, to create conditions conducive to sustainable motivation for learning. In other words, it’s all about managing the cognitive process. Therefore, the basic course of instructors training includes:
- Lecture course in psychology and pedagogy basics;
- Course in organization of training process using the systematic approach;
- Hands-on classes providing for the application of active education methods to try out practical teaching skills.
